2012             Literacy Through Visual Arts summer Professional Institute for Educators course at   

                     GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, Reading, PA (through University of the Arts)                  

2000- Present  Art Teacher, Boyertown Area School District, Boyertown, PA

·     Introduced Dual-Credit Drawing and Painting classes to the high school curriculum in collaboration with Montgomery County Community College.

·     Served as Art Department Leader in 2004-2005 overseeing 3 buildings, 9 teachers.

·     Initiated and implemented Advanced Placement Studio Art course and curriculum where students earn college credit based on their portfolios.

·     Advised students in developing their college portfolios and choices in art careers.

·     Founded the Art Club where students use their artistic abilities painting murals.

·     Mentored 9 students painting bear sculptures for Bear Fever, a community project.

·     Guided group of 15 students through the steps of organizing an art exhibit in a professional gallery space for the public at the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, Reading, PA
